And then there were none

It was not the emotional day everyone thought it would be.  It was a day of quiet, stillness, and a little bit of serenity.  That is if you don't count the usual "hurry up and get ready for school" mantra that explodes in our house most school day mornings.  It was finally the big day we had all been waiting for.

The obligatory new school year photos were taken at home then it was off to school with the big kids.

We are very proud of Milly.  She has been a great big sister looking out for him on his first day.

The school staggered the arrival times of the new kindy students.  There was a lot of waiting around before we could go to his classroom.

Finally we headed up to his classroom and found his peg.

Lower peg position for Boo.

Looking for his name tag.

His teacher handed him the class iPad to play on while she greeted the other kids and parents.  Buster was initally excited but told us after school he thought the games on the iPad were boring.  Mmmm, probably because they were educational and he couldn't blow things up.

And so we left him.  No tears, no worries...

... and headed to the pub to enjoy a celebratory drink and lunch.  Hooray for us!

So how was his first day at school?  He gives it two thumbs up and is willing to return tomorrow.  His educational journey has now begun.
