Stumpy

Henry has lost the first of his top teeth.  It's been a long time between lost teeth.  In total he's only lost four.  That may soon change with a number of his top teeth all now a bit wobbly.  So while this last tooth has left a stump, if he does lose some more from the top we'll have to rename him "gummy".

Olympic hopefuls

The 2012 Olympics may be over but they are not forgotten.  London put on a fantastic Olympics, the best since Sydney, although I'll never say it was better.  I thought the opening and closing ceremonies were so creative and entertaining.  It was pretty impressive how much British history and talent was showcased in such a small timeframe.

As for the Australian free-to-air telecasting and subsequent commentary there is very little to be said.  I think the best review I can give it is one that I need to plagiarise from the movie Spinal Tap.  It's a simple two word review.............Shit Sandwich.

However, all was not lost.  The kids enjoyed watching some of the events and Milly and Buster were inspired by the rhythmic gymnasts.  So much so they put on a performance in the lounge room.

Milly's apparatus of choice was the ribbon.

Buster selected a handbag for his routine.

Taking on the challenge of two apparatuses, proving he is a talented young hopeful.

Things Milly says #4

I was helping Milly out of the bath and getting her dried and dressed when she suddenly ,"Mama, I don't want you to die."  She then paused and looked me in the eye and said, "But you will."

Buster:  I want to tell a story.

Me:  Ok, great.  Everyone shush, Buster wants to tell a story.

Buster:  Once apon a time there is Buster Boo.  I love chocolate bavarian.  I love chocolate.  The end.

Blowing out the candles

It's been a while between blog posts.  I've been super busy with markets and soccer, and the usual life of a stay-at-home mum with three kids.  I've also been occupied with a little project that is taking me longer to complete than I first anticipated.  But I'll post about it when it is done and finished.  Until then I thought I'd share some photos taken last month of the kids having afternoon tea with Nanoo to celebrate her birthday.

Yummy cupcakes.

Oh dear, someone looks a bit poopy pants.

Everyone got to help Nanoo blow out the candles.
