Aroma Festival - Maitland

It's finally out

Well it was almost out and then it wasn't and then it was and then it wasn't.  It was hanging by a gummy thread and managed to hang in there for another 24 hours after these photos were taken.

It even survived a whole day of school.  He had wobbled it and pulled on it and still it wouldn't detach itself.  It got to dinner time and Boo wouldn't eat because he was so paranoid about his limp tooth.  He became so desperate for it to be removed he even asked me to trying pulling it out.  I can attest it was a very stubborn tooth.  Then all of a sudden Boo gave it another wiggle and out it came.

He was blissfully excited, ate his dinner then proclaimed he did believe in the tooth fairy and he couldn't wait to become rich and buy a house and a car with his millions.

The next morning he came straight to me in my bedroom.  He hadn't looked under his pillow yet, he wanted to do it together and I was secretly pleased I'd get to witness this milestone moment.

It wasn't millions, it was $2.... but he was happy and he quickly put the money in his money box.

Chiminea time

We love firing up the chiminea.  Must be the cavemen in us that keeps us hunting for sticks to place on the fire, poke and prod the fire to keep it going, huddle around it for warmth, and just gather and chat.

For the kids it's all about toasting marshmallows.

Bubble ball Mister

Mister went to a birthday party last weekend at an indoor park.  There were lots of trampolines and other activities to keep the boys busy.  They also got to play a bit of bubble ball soccer.  Watching a bunch of boys running around, bumping into each other and rolling around in their bubbles whilst trying to play a game of soccer was fun.

Would have been more fun if I could have had a go.

A sick chook

Our girl isn't well.  She's been off school all week with a sore throat that hasn't got any better.  Took her to the doctor this morning and turns out she has tonsillitis.  She's not happy.  She doesn't like feeling yucky and she doesn't like missing out on school.
