Our entrepreneur

Recently Milly has been spending a lot of time in our office/study on the computer.  She always insists on having the door shut and can get stroppy if anyone enters the room and disturbs her.  Sometimes she is watching clips on YouTube of girls from across the world shopping for toys or opening toy boxes.  However; more often than not, she is researching and putting together presentations on subjects that interest her at the time.  Other times she is typing up stories and plays.

Recently she put together a "brochure" about places to go in Newcastle.  She had typed up two A4 pages of information that included her recommendations and opinions.  She then decided to try and sell her brochure by holding a stall at the end of our driveway.  The stall also included some loom band bracelets and handmade posters of drawings or Milly's initials that she'd coloured in.

Milly roped in Buster to help, because for all her bravado there lurks a sometimes timid girl.  Buster isn't shy of spruiking and he's always keen to be involved in anything.  He waved at passing cars and even yelled at them to stop.  There wasn't much foot traffic but after an hour they finally got a customer who bought a loom band bracelet for her granddaughter.

At close of trading, Milly and Buster made a grand total of 50 cents.
