Project Repaint - another update
Another update for you. Our painter is making his way around the house. The bulk of the front of the house and one side is almost complete. The eaves are yet to be done, but you can see it all taking shape and we are totally in love with the colour. He's now working on the kitchen side and back of the house. It's all starting to come together.

Project Repaint update
Of course now that work has started on repainting our house the weather has turned horrible. It's wet and it's windy. Our painter, Ben, is still chugging along, focusing on the undercover areas of our house where he can continue to work.
He's filled holes, sanded, primed and made a start on painting a first coat. We are saying goodbye to the creamy yellow coloured house and going grey. Our fascia boards will be painted Colorbond Monument to match the colour of our roof. The walls will be Colorbond Gully. The window trim, sliding doors, carport beams, and eaves all Taubmans Vivid White.

Project Repaint
Let the painting begin! Well, maybe not just yet, so let me rephrase it. Let the preparation for the painting begin!
Yes, work has finally started on Project Repaint. The project involves the repainting of our house exterior and a repaint of our main living area and hall way. There is lots of prep to do. We are only on day two but our painter hasn't mucked about. First up he has washed away years of dirt and grime, plus all the nasty cobwebs that we struggle to keep on top of. He has also started scraping back the peeled and bubbled paint that is in patches around the house.
If there wasn't so much prep to do and if our home was a single level without all the raked ceilings and really high bits, we would have had a go at doing the job ourselves. Sometimes it's best to let the professionals do it.
So enjoy these before photos and progress shots. More to come as it happens.
