Like most parents I dread Book Week. Two of our three kids enjoy reading and writing. The issue isn't so much about books, it's about the dressing up. What to wear? It's the war between what character they want to go as vs what we actually have in the wardrobes and the dress up box. I'm not a parent willing to spend big dollars on character costumes that only get worn once.
Thank goodness Milly is a girl who knows exactly what she wants. She was very clear she wanted to go as Lola playing soccer from the Go Girls book series.
Henry didn't have any input into this year's costume. Based on clothes in his wardrobe and a book he has read, he went as Rodrick Heffley from The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.
Buster wan't sure what to go as but we had a Ben 10 costume in the dress up box and he was happy with that.
